140/365 June 2010 Pita Maha Resort in Ubud

For most of our stay in Bali were rented a villa to house the six of us.  A short walk from our villa was a very exclusive resort owned by some of the Ubud royalty.  The resort is called Pita Maha and it has exceptionally lovely views. Here is the view from the breakfast balcony. We ate breakfast there before heading to the airport.  We received exceptional service and the food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented.

After breakfast the staff were eager to give us a tour of the beautiful grounds.

In addition to the diverse gardens, attention to detail could be seen everywhere we looked.

This tranquil yoga pavilion has rushing torrents on one side and a gentle stream on the other.  The water sounds would make a perfect soundtrack to a relaxing yoga workout.

I don’t know that we will ever be able to afford to stay here, but I wish we could.
