On our last night in Bali, we dined at what the New York Times has called the best restaurant in Asia. With a moniker such as that, how could we not try it? The dinners were expensive, consisting of many courses. They were exceptionally delicious. We drank wines with each course that were paired to the food. Each course was carefully explained and was not only delicious tasting, but lovely and full of enticing scents.
Before the meal was served, this tray was brought out because two of us had ordered the Discovery Dinner. Its goal was to help you discover new tastes and combinations. Each of these items were part of one of the courses. From bottom to top there is a Kaffir lime, tamarind, coffee bean (green, ripe and roasted) ginger flower, and passion fruit.
