Jan. 6: Last Morning on Tioman

We awoke to a sound outside our window. It was the monkeys taking apart a sidewalk light.  Once they had it apart they ate the insects that had become trapped in there during the night.  Here is a quick video of them. It is better than yesterday’s videos, but still not stellar.

As we packed, a flock of crows commented from the nearby trees.

I wish I had photos of the monitor lizards that were eating bugs out of the grass, the beautiful butterflies that were all over, and the lovely white egrets on the golf course.

Our flight home went fine. I wish I had captured photos as we lifted above the island. The rainforest on the island covers most of the mountains and is richly diverse.
